Meet General Ulysses S. Grant

by Aidan Fletcher - June 19, 2019

Looking for something educational and fun for the whole family this week? The Home Page Network has you covered. Living historian and impressionist Ken Serfass is making his rounds in Tioga County, bringing legendary American hero Ulysses S. Grant to life. Serfass doesn’t simply present Grant through the eyes of a historian, but through those of Grant himself, in the first person, with the passion of a man who’s studied Grant since the age of 8. With Ken, the passion is palpable, and it is that which really makes his show an occasion. Ever since the age of 8, Ken has been inspired by the Grant’s character, his determination, and his honor. With his shows, Serfass passes that passion and admiration to the audience, as they witness history, and a national treasure, come to life.

Shows begin tonight (Wednesday, June 19 2019) at 6, in Shinglehouse, PA, with a lecture on the life of, and myths surrounding, Ulysses S. Grant. “Mr. Grant” will share some important life lessons learned during his formative years at West Point and later excursions in Mexico and the Civil War. Performances continue on to the 22, Saturday, with various shows in Knoxville and Troy. More information can be found at Serfass’s Facebook page, US Grant in Living History. Be sure not to miss out on this historic opportunity!
