Mark Your Calendars for Christmas On Main Street!
Christmas on Main Street for 2024 returns Wednesday, December 11th through Sunday, December 15th.
This fun, family event celebrates 100 years of glass-making at the Corning Glass Factory in Wellsboro. While celebrating the good that happened in our town in the 1940s, please take a stroll down our beautiful gaslit boulevard to visit the 30 locations displaying the historic ornaments made during World War II. Over 90% of all Christmas bulbs worldwide were manufactured in our factory. That’s why Wellsboro is called “the town that saved Christmas!”
Get ready for a time filled with diverse activities! From a live nativity outside the Deane Center to horse-drawn wagon rides, Santa’s Reindeer, a Dollar Christmas movie at the Arcadia, concerts, and sing-alongs, the hat trunk show at Dunham’s with Christine A Moore, and Sunday morning brunch with Santa at the Penn Wells Hotel, there’s something for everyone to enjoy!
The 1940s also produced many of our favorite Christmas songs, which we still enjoy today! Hear those songs and maybe step onto the dance floor to swing with the Starlite Bid Band at seven on Saturday night. Then, return for the magical light parade with Santa at four on Sunday.
We look forward to seeing you for Christmas on Main Street from December 11 through the 15th! For a full schedule, please visit WellsboroChristmas.com.
