Mansfield Lions Club member and chairman of the annual Lions Golf Tournament, Shane Milheim, talks about this year’s event on May 16th at Corey Creek Golf Club. This is the 27th year for the tournament and the Lions will be honoring members who have recently passed, Robert Maris and John Kiser.
The annual golf tournament is the Lions Club’s largest fundraiser. Local businesses support the event with sponsorships of varying amounts. A silent auction is also held at the golf tournament with donated items from businesses and individual supporters. Every year the Lions Club supports many organizations and activities in the community with the funds that they tirelessly raise through events such as raffles, chicken BBQ’s and of course the golf tournament.
