The Lumberjacks Assemble!
The 2018 Tioga County Fair concluded with the Tioga County Fair Lumberjack Competition on Saturday, August 11. This year’s event was delayed because of weather, but that wouldn’t stop these passionate individuals.

The sport is a physically demanding, full-body workout. Each exercise is limited to 5 minutes to avoid overworking the competitors. But these pro’s battle more than just the physical challenges.

“For me personally, I’d say the most difficult thing is finding time to practice,” says competitor, Tom Oliver. “And just balancing going to events.”

Back to College Dorm Tips
College can be an exciting time, but it can also be challenging when it comes to packing for a small space like a dorm room. Fortunately, we found some great tips to help you save space!

Try rolling your t-shirts before putting them in your drawer to maximize your dresser space.

If you like to wear scarves, attach plastic shower rings to a hanger for an easy way to hang them.

Command hooks are a great way to keep purses, belts, jackets, and other accessories off the floor. They are easy to use, and best of all, they won’t damage your walls.

The Youngest Entrepreneurs
Some of Wellsboro’s youngest entrepreneurs gathered on the Green on Thursday, August 16th for the first annual Children’s Business Fair!

Rachel Smith, the founder of the Wellsboro Young Entrepreneurs Children’s Business Fair, originally thought of the idea after seeing a group in Texas encouraging others to start their own community event for young entrepreneurs. After sending in an application video, they were selected! This event is a great way for the community to come out and support the next generation of business leaders.
