Panthers fall to Athens, 26-12
The North Penn-Mansfield Panthers suffered a 26-12 NTL Large School Division loss on the road in Athens on Friday, September 1.
“We made plays when we needed to, that was a two point game, could have been a tied game with our conversion until the fourth quarter,” said Panther head coach Tom Dickinson. “That running back, he’s good. Zack Jayne is a good ball player and he wore us down. It’s a young team, we made mistakes, but that outcome could have been different.”

Bank On It: Ju$t for Kid$

Northern Tioga takes Corey Creek
Northern Tioga continued their NTL Golf dominance on Tuesday, September 5 by taking home the top spot at Corey Creek Country Club in Mansfield.
Northern Tioga remains undefeated at 15-0 in the league, Wellsboro is 2nd at 12-3, Sayre is 3rd (9-6), Towanda and North Penn-Mansfield are tied for 4th at 4-11, and Athens is 6th at 1-14.
The league will be back in action next Tuesday, September 12 at Towanda Country Club.

NP-Mansfield & Williamson girls tie 1-1
The North Penn-Mansfield Lady Tigers and Williamson Lady Warriors played to a 1-1 draw in NTL soccer action on Wednesday, September 6.
North Penn-Mansfield had 30 shots on goal to Williamson’s 24 and Mansfield edged Williamson 4-2 in corner kicks. Mansfield’s Alaina McKee recorded 23 saves and Williamson’s Keira McCormick made 22 and Mercedes Bailey had 6.
Mansfield is now 0-2-1 on the year, and will be back in action on Monday, September 11 against Troy.

Lady Mounties sweep CV
The North Penn-Liberty Volleyball team swept Cowanesque Valley in three sets on Thursday, September 7.
“My ladies played consistently tonight,” said Liberty head coach Holli Smith. “Consistent hitting, consistent passing, and consistent serving.”
The Lady Mounties are now 2-0 on the year, and will resume regular-season action on September 14 against Troy.
