Liberty hangs on against NEB
The North Penn-Liberty Boys Soccer team picked up a shutout victory over Northeast Bradford on Wednesday, September 27.
The Mounties scored the game’s only with 14:03 remaining in the first half. Nathaniel Johnston won control of the ball near midfield, then passed it up to Luke Yoder, who got a foot on the ball and kicked it past the charging Panther goalie.
Liberty held on the rest of the way to pickup the win.
Riley Walker collected 13 saves in goal for Liberty. The Mounties took 21 shots on goal and 3 corner kicks.
The win improves the Mounties’ record to 2-5 (2-5 NTL). The team will be back in action on Monday, October 2 against Troy.
