Lady Rams outlast Wellsboro, 51-40
On Wednesday, January 8th the Wellsboro Lady Hornets basketball team hosted the Wyalusing Lady Rams.
Wyalusing got on the board first and took the early lead in the first quarter, 8-2. The Lady Rams continued to stampeded going into the second quarter. But Lady Hornets kept up the pace. By the end of the half, the Lady Rams still on top, 23-17.
The Lady Rams kept the intensity going into the third. But Wellsboro stayed in the fight. Wellsboro maintained the 5 point deficit going into the fourth – 37-32.
The back and forth continued – then late in the fourth the Lady Rams sealed the deal, claiming the victory 51-40.
The Lady Hornets will be back on the court again hosting Williamson on January 13th.
