On Thursday, September 25th, the Wellsboro Lady Hornets volleyball team turned in a dominant performance on their home court, sweeping the North Penn-Liberty Lady Mounties 3-0 in the annual Chuck Tameris Memorial Trophy Pink Out Game.

The opening set was a battle, with both teams trading points before Wellsboro edged ahead for a 25-21 win. The Lady Hornets then found their rhythm, pulling away in the second set with a commanding 25-18 victory. Riding the momentum, Wellsboro sealed the night with a 25-19 finish in the third to secure the shutout.

With the win, Wellsboro improves to 9-2 on the season, while North Penn-Liberty drops to 6-3. The Lady Hornets return to action on Saturday when they host Coudersport, while the Lady Mounties travel to Troy next Tuesday.
