Lady Hornets Sweep Northeast Bradford in Dominant Fashion
The Wellsboro Lady Hornets volleyball team put together a dominant performance Tuesday night, sweeping the visiting Northeast Bradford Lady Panthers, 3-0.
Wellsboro set the tone from the opening serve, applying pressure throughout the first set with a strong serving game. The Lady Hornets pulled away early and cruised to a convincing 25-7 victory.
Northeast Bradford came out with more momentum in the second set, briefly taking an early lead. Wellsboro quickly responded, however, regaining control and pulling away to take the set 25-16.
The Lady Hornets continued to roll in the third set, once again controlling the action from start to finish. Wellsboro closed out the set with a 25-11 victory, completing the 3-0 sweep.
With the win, the Lady Hornets will look to keep their momentum going when they return to the court Thursday, September 10, against the Wyalusing Lady Rams.
