Blossburg to hold inaugural event on Saturday, December 8

 

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - October 31, 2018

Attention Runners and Walkers, looking for a challenge?

The Inaugural “Island Park 150” will be held Saturday, December 8, 2018 at 9:00 am at the Island Park Blossburg. The Island Park 150 is a challenge event where you decide the challenge. Participants will be given 150 minutes to complete as many laps as possible, or desired, on the 1.53 mile road and trail course.

Run or walk 1 lap, awesome! Run or walk 5 laps, tremendous! Run 15 laps or more, INCREDIBLE!! The goal is to give participants the opportunity to challenge themselves while raising funds for a great cause.

All participants will receive a race medal!! The first 100 registrants will be guaranteed an embroidered beanie hat along with other special gifts!!

The event will be chip timed by Falcon Race Timing with results being available on – line within 24 hours of the event. Awards will be given to the top 3 male and female competitors.

Can’t make it to Blossburg on December 8th, but still want to participate, register for our “Virtual Island Park 150” and you can receive the same race day medal and swag as those who participate in the live event.

Requirements? Just register for the event and select the Virtual option, then between December 1st and December 14th, run, walk, bike, swim, yoga, or do some form of exercise and let us know and we’ll get your medal and gifts mailed to you, it’s that simple.
