Wellsboro Chamber
Honor Vets at POW/MIA Recognition Day
On today’s feature we sit down with Colonel Eldon Cummings and Master Sergeant Clare R. Emery to discuss the POW/MIA DAY gathering taking place this evening at 6:30 PM on The Green in Wellsboro. Attendees are asked to be there at about 6:15 PM, if possible. The American Legion and VFW will once again present their very moving POW/MIA ceremony. The seven sisters of Robert Mase of Blossburg who went MIA in the Korean War are expected to attend. Many of the “Rolling Thunder” Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association (CVMA) PA Chapter 22-6 are also planning to attend. Please make every effort to be on The Green this evening to make a clear statement that WE WILL NEVER FORGET OUR POW/MIAs.
Master Sergeant Clare R. Emery gives us the run down on this evening’s events and Colonel Eldon Cummings tells us why it’s so important for us to be there. For those Wellsboro Home Page viewers who would like to do more to help our service men and women, you can contact Dawn Pletcher at Goodies For Our Troops, 87 Main Street, Wellsboro, PA. Phone: (570) 662-5601 or Pennsylvania Wounded Warriors, Inc. at PAwoundedwarriors.org.
