Highland Chocolates Excited About Upcoming Renovations & Expansion
Local confectionery Highland Chocolates will be closing its factory building this summer to prepare renovations and construct expansions of the facility. The factory will reopen again sometime in 2023. Exact dates for closing and reopening will be announced at HighlandChocolates.org as they become available.
Highland Chocolates is operated by Partners In Progress, a non-profit organization and service provider to teens and adults with intellectual disabilities in Tioga County. Together they provide employment and job-skills training, while producing a wide variety of candies and chocolate treats.
“The reason why we keep changing and morphing is because of the need,” said Irene Morgan, Executive Director of Partners In Progress. “Between the community…the families and individuals we serve…have required us to expand our services. We are going to be blessed with a complete and total renovation and modernization of this site.”
