Heart of Tioga is an incredible facility that provides free, confidential, non-judgmental help for those involved in pregnancy and parenting. This mission has also become a ministry, as they seek to share the love of Jesus Christ through their services. Their services include free pregnancy tests, free ultrasounds, classes and support for both men and women, abortion alternatives and post-abortion Bible studies, adoption education, and peer counseling. In addition, they offer the “Earn while you Learn” program. Through this program, individuals may take classes and then earn “Baby Bucks” to use in their store for items like clothes, bibs, blankets, and other baby items.

The grand opening of their new facility, located at 14072 Route 6 in Mansfield, PA took place on Wednesday, July 8th. Many people came out to celebrate the grand opening, including Congressman Fred Keller, Chuck Dillon on behalf of Senator Joe Scarnati, Lauren Owlett on behalf of State Representative Clint Owlett, Tioga County Commissioners Erick Coolidge, Roger Bunn, and Mark Hamilton, and Tioga County Task Force Representative Jim Nobles. Each of these authorities shared their thoughts about the great community impact that this facility will have. Thank you to all who came out to show support!

Many thanks are in order for all the volunteers, donators, community members, and executive board members of Heart of Tioga. This achievement would not have been accomplished without their support and hard work. The Executive Board of Heart of Tioga includes Executive Director Sharon Quimby, President Sam Seaman, Vice President Pastor Keith Williams, Treasurer Janelle Tombs, Secretary Brianna Thompson, Dr. Ardell Thomas, Dr. Tony Keissling, and Janet Butler.

Donations are always appreciated, as Heart of Tioga is fully funded by community churches, businesses, and individuals. Monetary donations can be made here (http://heartoftioga.org/donate/). New baby items such as diapers, wipes, books, blankets, strollers, bottles, etc. are also accepted for their Baby Boutique. They will also accept new and gently used (in excellent condition) infant, baby, toddler, and maternity clothing.
