Grower’s Market Returns For Summer
The Wellsboro Growers Market has been supplying our families with good, wholesome products for over 30 years. Some of their goals over these many years are as follows: 1) providing fresh, local food and product to area residents and visitors; 2) Providing the opportunity for small scale farmers and gardeners to sell their products 3) increasing the profitability for local farmers and producers 4) educating the community about agriculture and food.
This Growers Market is open every Thursday from 3:00 to 6:00 from now until the fall. Their location is 130 Main Street in Wellsboro. They are more than happy to answer any questions that you may have about any of their products and help you select from their many products.
You will enjoy visiting and finding out more about all of their services.
Some of the producers that usually sell here in Wellsboro are Between Two Rivers, The Herb Corner, Hillstone Farms Pure Hart Soap, Red Skillet, Running Bear Farms, Udder Merry MacFarms, Inn to the Seasons, Basically Bagels, Keeney Farms, Cardinal Inn, Lee’s Bees, and Mountain View Pastries.
James Fry, executive chef of the Penn Wells, also spoke about the wonderful herbs available at this market and the upcoming feature that he’ll be showing us how to grill with them.
