“Go Gold” for Childhood Cancer Awareness

“Go Gold” for Childhood Cancer Awareness

by Tonya McNamara - September 27, 2022

The members of the Southern Tioga Gridiron Club are very active in supporting North Penn-Mansfield Football.

On Friday September 30th they, along with Blossburg, Warren L. Miller and Liberty elementary student council members will be supporting children who have or may be impacted by childhood cancer.

The Children’s Cancer Research Fund (www.childrenscancer.org) believes in a world without childhood cancer but – it is going to take all of us to make it happen.

They focus their funding on three main areas; Innovative and promising research, enhance healing and care for families and education the world about childhood cancer.

You can support this cause by attending the first annual “Powderpuff Football” game on Friday Sept. 30th at Island Park in Blossburg.

Come cheer on the North Penn Mansfield junior and senior girls as they take on the North Penn Liberty junior and senior girls in a great night of football.

The Panther football team will be on the sidelines to coach and cheer on the girls starting at 7pm. In addition to the powderpuff game, there will be face painting, pie your teacher, great food, and halftime entertainment provided by Almost Home.

Admission to this event is by donation and all funds collected will be donated to the Childhood Cancer Research Fund.

Unable to make the game? You can donate online at https://childrenscancer.org/about-us/what-we-fund/?form=donate.
