From Our Farms To Your Arms is an annual family event that’s all about agriculture and educating our community about where our food comes from, all while enjoying a fun evening of socialization, delicious food, and raffle prizes donated by local supporters. The event was packed with children and adults who were ready and eager to learn. There were so many sights to see: Local vendors and food samples set up in the cafeteria, “Honeybees at a Glance” presented by American Honey Queen Cheyenne Bastion-Brown, “Pigs and People” presented by Paul Yoachim, the PA Wood Mobile, Mobile Ag Lab, and the ever-popular petting zoo.
Exhibits included the following organizations: American Honey Queen, Bradford County 4-H Extension, Bradford County Conservation District, Bradford-Sullivan County Farm Bureau, Bradford-Tioga Head Start, Canton FFA, Creamery at Fairview Farm, LLC; Department of Conservation and Natural Resource, Endless Mountain Heritage Region, Good View Farm, Greener Pasture Farms, Jackson’s Pest Control, Mansfield University Fisheries, Penn State Extension Forestry, Pioneer Seed, Troy Junior Fair Board, Troy Fair Queens, and Whispering Winds Apiary.
Other exhibitors and door prize donors included Jim’s Sporting Goods, Thompson Apparel, Canton Auto Supply, NAPA of Canton, IHS, Rockwell Feeds, Baldwin Hardware, Judsons Feed, Crossroads Equipment, Milky Way Farm, TOPS Canton, Building 9, and Manley Bohlayer Sechrist Farm.
