For the Love of Food: Fruity Fun!

by Jen Davis - March 3, 2016

Welcome to another edition of For the Love of Food, featuring Registered Dietitian, Jen Davis RD, LDN. Today’s topic: fruit!

Fruit contains vitamins, minerals, and phytochemicals! It tastes good, but also is FUN to eat. Check out how much is recommended at choosemyplate.gov and what counts as a serving of fruit. And yes, juice counts but it must be 100%. The American Academy of Pediatrics has specific recommended limits.

Watch today’s video feature to learn some a fun and easy way to eat mango, how to eat a starfruit, and what makes our special “mystery fruit” so special. What’s the mystery fruit? You’ll have to watch to find out!
