The Hornets had their best season is program history and brought home the team’s only District IV Class A title. This year, the Hornets move up to Class AA. The Hornets return junior quarterback Quinn Henry, who led the team in passing yards (1,373) and rushing yards (1,045), and 6 foot-5-inch tight end Parker Jones, who led the team with 40 receptions for 577 yards and 8 touchdowns.
The Hornets have a ton of skill players and return 4 members of last year’s starting offensive line the Hornets have the man-power to control the offensive side of the ball to give running backs Dupree Hosey, Chase Moser, Alex Kozuhowski, and Robert Brown room to run, and allow Henry to find targets Brandon Lamphier, newcomer junior Dalton Prough, and Jones. Defensively, Robert Brown steps up to replace 2015 All-State linebacker Nick Tremper, and along with Pietropola, Jones, Kaleb Smith, and Taylor Baker, the team looks to continue their tradition of hard-nosed football.
The Hornets begin the season on Friday, August 26 at Canton at 7:00 p.m. For more information, please visit WellsboroFootball.com, powered by Circle W Sports.
