First Friday de Mayo!
First Friday is back and better than ever and May is kicking it off with a Cinco De Mayo theme! Downtown Wellsboro will celebrating the festivities with a variety of activities, sales, and delicious food.
Stop into Cafe 1905 on First Friday where they’ll be featuring their popular “Frappe Hour” – all grande-size frappucino’s are three dollars!
Wild Asaph Outfitters will be featuring 10% off any primarily green, white or red item in store. Outside, you’ll be able to make your own Cinco de Mayo paper flowers.
Senior’s Creations and The Main Street Olive Oil Co. will be having two piñatas for kids to take a wack at, and Mexican-themed snacks featuring their balsamic vinegars, olive oils and spices.
The Penn Wells Hotel will be serving $5-nachos and $5-margaritas when you drop by to kick back in the lounge!
Swing by the newly founded CS Sports for a special 10% off all bike accessories sale.
Grubby’s Games will be highlighting the spring season with a flower pot activity. Kids can come in and hand-paint flower pots and fill them with soil and seeds to grow their very own springtime green! Gamers can still enjoy their First Friday special sale: 10% off consoles, 15% off games, and 20% off all accessories.
Subway will be offering their 5-Dollar Footlong Subs in a select few varieties, including: turkey, cold-cut combo, ham, and meatball. Avocados can be added for free to any footlong sub.
Slip into some summer sandals at In My Shoes for their special sale! They will also be holding a drawing for a free pedicure.
Stained Glass Reflections will have a potter demonstrating pottery-making on a wheel outside their shop. Peggy’s Candies is sponsoring the sidewalk chalk art contest (run by the Partnership for Community Health) out front of Stained Glass. Also, all finished stained glass pieces will be on sale for 15% off.
The Fifth Season is kicking off a fun May promotion – come in and shop your way to a free scarf or handbag (during First Friday, or all month long.) In partnership with Vineyard Church in Wellsboro, they’ll also be offering an activity for children out front along with some snacks.
The Red Skillet will be bringing back their First FRYday special – $2 fresh cut fries with any sandwich or salad. You can also enjoy their Friday exclusive crabcake sandwich!
Take a peek at the new arrivals and additions to the ladies’ line of clothing at Garrison’s tomorrow.
The sweetest place in town, Peggy’s Candies & Gifts is ready to satisfy your sweettooth! Cool off with a frozen limeade and indulge as they bring back their famous chocolate chili! Piñatas, face painting, cotton candy will also be available.
Pull in to the Hot Rod Cafe – kids can color and show off their art to receive a free lemonade and “walking nachos.” Johnny’z will also be running a $5 mini burrito special that includes chips, salsa, and lime cilantro slaw.
It’s all fun and games at Pop’s Culture Shoppe! Pop’s is celebrating their 5th-Year Anniversary! Celebrate with them on 5/5 by playing Five Tribes, Five Crowns, Five Ring Toss, or Miracle Five and enter to win one of FIVE Pop’s Cards worth $5, $10, $15, $20 or $25. One winner will be drawn every hour for 5 hours from 6:00 – 10:00pm. AND, their new Cards can now be used on their website, so you can shop online, and earn extra bonuses too!
Musician Jesse Gotschal will be on the “Pop’s Stage” again to entertain all First Friday attendees, and there will be other surprises in store to thank their wonderful customers for all their support.
Dunham’s Department Store will be demonstrating some of their favorite summer toys on the sidewalk (weather permitting.) Should rain become a problem, you can join them upstairs in their Kids Department! Shop their toys for a FREE $5 GIFT with a $25 or greater purchase of Melissa and Doug–Sunny Patch, On-the-Go and Travel games or …EPOCH–Kidoozie, Calktivity, and Imaginetics. Dunham’s will also be hosting a Kidoozie Pogo Jumper contest!
