FFA Week 2016

by John Vogt - February 22, 2016

National FFA week is always held on the week of George Washington’s Birthday. It begins today, Monday, February 22nd in recognition of George Washington’s legacy as an agriculturalist and farmer. This special time gives all FFA members and alumni the chance to show people what FFA is all about. Today on Wellsboro Home Page Johanna Vogt has the opportunity to talk with Kaycee Kaltenbach and Brody Coolidge about FFA and some of their upcoming events, community involvement and activities.

FFA has been operating here in Wellsboro since 1942. The FFA motto is, “Learning to Do, Doing to Learn, Earning to Live, Living to Serve.” FFA is an agricultural science program dedicated to developing future leaders in the field of agriculture. It’s a national youth organization that strengthens and develops leadership skills, personal growth, and career success through agriculture and education. There are currently 42 outstanding members in the Wellsboro Grand Canyon FFA. We hope you enjoy this short, but informative broadcast feature.
