MANSFIELD, PA (July 2019) For the second consecutive year, First Citizens Community Bank was ranked by their customers as the number one Pennsylvania-based Bank in a Forbes nationwide customer survey. Institutions were rated on overall recommendations and satisfaction, as well as trust, terms and conditions, branch services, digital services, and financial advice. After analyzing the results, Forbes released the findings of their second annual Best-in-State list. Out of five Pennsylvania banks who made the list, First Citizens ranked in the top position as the number one Bank in Pennsylvania for customer service, an accolade they also claimed in 2018.

Happy customers are a key component of the community-banking standard. According to a 2016 American Bankers Association study, Community Banks notched the highest customer satisfaction scores. They consistently earned the highest scores for courtesy and helpfulness, and respondents said they were more satisfied with the call center experience they experienced at Community Banks.

First Citizens continues to attract attention from a variety of organizations who report on the performance of banks across the country. American Banker Magazine evaluates the Nation’s Community Banks each year based on a three-year return on equity. For eleven consecutive years, Citizens Financial Services, Inc. has been ranked one of the top 100 best-performing Community Banks in the Nation with assets less than $2 billion. In other recent news, when The American Bankers Association announced the top Agricultural Lending banks in our Nation, First Citizens ranked 65th —one of only two Banks on the list headquartered in Pennsylvania.
