Today, Wellsboro Home Page correspondent Morgan Koziar had the pleasure of interviewing our own Tioga County Fair queen, Darby Kasper. Kasper is competing with 60 other young women for the title of State Fair Queen in Hershey, PA January 21st-23rd.

Since August, Kasper’s current title afforded her with the opportunity to visit the Sullivan County Fair, which she names as one of the highlights of the experience; participate in many parades; and meet with the Dean of Agriculture from Penn State, Dr. Richard Roush. She has continued to prepare for the State Fair Queen pageant through extensive dress shopping, as well as work in the form of speech writing.

Kasper summarizes her hope for the upcoming pageant with the statement, “I really want to be myself and to able to be share my love of the fair and my knowledge of agriculture with everyone that I get to meet there.” The Tioga County Fair Queen goes with the best wishes of both Tioga County, and Wellsboro Home Page.
