Extending God’s Healing Love
GOOD NEWS for Ashley Johns. She has been moved to rehab! Ashely’s brother Brandon will visit with Home Page CEO Sara Vogt on Thursday for a complete update.
Today’s feature story brings light to a different side of Susquehanna Health – the spiritual side of the organization. Susquehanna Health is known for their great doctors, amazing staff and outstanding medical facilities. But did you know that Susquehanna Health is a faith-based organization? It’s their secret weapon when fighting sickness and disease.
As part of Susquehanna’s long-standing tradition of providing high-quality health-care and promoting wellness to families throughout our region, you will see clearly that they are also a faith-based organization. Susquehanna Health is guided by high ideals in their physical care of patients and concern for employees. To help them stay on target they have created a spiritual environment that challenges them to keep to their mission of extending God’s healing love by improving the health of those they serve. This is at the heart of all they do.
Guiding them in this mission are their partners in health-care, the Sisters of Christian Charity, founders of the Divine Providence Hospital. The Sisters are truly recognized leaders in patient care throughout the region.
Another example of Susquehanna’s Christian underpinnings is demonstrated by the way they give back to the community. They partner with local organizations in an effort to accomplish this part of their commitment to our area. For example, Susquehanna Health has strong alliances with Little League Baseball and Blue Cross of Northern Pennsylvania to help create a healthy, neighbor-friendly region.
