Explore the 149th Troy Fair!
The 149th Troy Fair kicked off on Monday, July 21 and will continue through Saturday, July 26.
“We’ve got a lot of different stuff going on,” says Troy Fair Board President Josh Curren. “We’ve got our lower meadow stage with a ton of different free entertainment throughout the week. Saturday we have The Little Mermen who are a Disney tribute band coming that should be really popular with the kids, Wednesday night we have Jeff Dunham in the grand stands- that’s a huge act, a huge name for us to have here. We have a brand new ride company this year with a ton of great rides. They have a lot of newer, nicer rides and a lot more variety than we’ve had in recent years.”
This year’s Troy Fair Queen gave us a glimpse into the showing world at the fair. “Here at the fair we have all different types of agriculture, including market swine, dairy, steer, female cows, heifers, sheep, goats, bunnies, chickens, all different kinds of animals here at the fair,” says Abbie Tuttle. “The process of showing can start next month with cows, or beginning of February with pigs. You put in so much work and all the kids here that are showing animals have put in so much work here at the fair to be able to show at the fair.”
