Easter Family Fun Day at Allen F. Pierce Free Library
The Allen F. Pierce Free Library offered some egg-cellent Easter fun to the community this past Saturday at their family fun day. Families were invited to participate in multiple different stations available throughout the building, including making an Easter Bunny craft, watching a movie, story time, building a tower out of boxes, and going outside to play with a parachute. A sticker was given to each child after they participated in a station, which they could then redeem for candy once they were done with the activities.
“For years, Sue Wolfe, my predecessor, had an egg hunt,” explains library director Steve Bolt, “We’d have anywhere from 60 to 100 children here doing an egg hunt. Last year we realized the egg hunt had run its course and we pulled the plug on it. This year we just decided to have a family fun day where the entire family come and do stuff!”
A few events you can look forward to attending at the Allen F. Pierce Free Library are the STEM program on May 21st, preschool story hour every Saturday morning at 9:30, the “Color Your World” summer program starting June 11th, and their adult book club that meets on the second Tuesday of every month all year round.
