Today on Wellsboro Home Page we cover Dunham’s fabulous “1/2 of 1/2 Price Sale” with Ann Dunham Rawson for the latest edition of Dunham’s Corner. Check out one of Dunham’s biggest sales events of the year this Saturday, February 13th! This special sales is greatly anticipated every year. People in our region begin thinking about this amazing sale in the middle of January (many reserving hotels just for this event!) Don’t miss these fantastic savings at Dunham’s.

The doors at Dunham’s will open at 8:30 AM sharp. Residents have been known to line up for for this sale, beginning in the wee hours of the morning to take advantage of these over-the-top savings. This is the sale that allows Dunham’s Department Store to re-stock. You will find thousands of items on sale throughout the store.

For those of you coming in from out of town – call now to make your hotel reservations for Friday night so that you can be up bright and early on Saturday morning. You will be able to enjoy incredible prices on quality products from companies like Woolwich, Columbia, Pendleton and more.

This amazing event first began on Saturday, February 29th, 1991. In recent years the sale has been moved to President’s Day weekend, allowing more traveling shoppers to take advantage of this sale as well. With February 14th being Valentine’s Day, it makes the entire event even more exciting!

As the years went by, Dunham’s Department Store began to develop guidelines to handle the numbers of people who attend this fun event. One of these guidelines addresses how shoppers enter the store safely. Customers are asked to line up outside of the door closest to Northwest Savings Bank. The line typically begins to form about 7:15 AM. The doors open at 8:30 AM.

Shoppers all have their favorite departments to visit during this special sale because of the tremendous savings and quality of the merchandise. The shoe department is always popular, the money you can save is absolutely amazing.

During the second half of today’s broadcast Ann shows us several of the items on sale and reveals the savings that you can expect this Saturday at Dunham’s.
