Dickens of a Christmas 2022 Highlights
On Saturday, December 3, thousands gathered in downtown Wellsboro to celebrate the 38th annual Dickens of a Christmas festival. The sporadic sprinkle of rain didn’t keep attendees from enjoying the holiday event, as vendors fixed rain covers over their booths and umbrellas decorated the gas-lit Main Street. Carolers, musicians and street performers had crowds gathered around, kept warm by freshly milled ciders, hot crab cake sandwiches and other food items popular to the event.
The Best Dressed Showcase, a presentation of period-appropriate outfits and attire, met upstairs in the Deane Center for Performing Arts to avoid the inclement weather. 38 participants entered the showcase this year. Mary Dikun won third place, Anne Evanco won second place, and Stacie Lyn Houser was awarded first place.
The Home Page Network would like to extend a special thank you to everyone who attended, dressed up, and supported this event.
