Delmar Says Yes on Airport Expansion

by Home Page Staff - March 17, 2015

A new development today regarding the Wellsboro-Johnston Airport expansion project: the Delmar Township Board of Supervisors has unanimously passed a resolution supporting the project. This comes after the Wellsboro Borough Council and Tioga County both adopted resolutions opposing the use of drill cuttings in any areas other than controlled landfills. The Delmar resolution is particularly important because the Wellsboro-Johnson Airport is located in Delmar Township.

Craig Musser, the manager of the airport, said of Delmar Township’s resolution, “I think that this is a step forward for the Grand Canyon Airport Authority and the project.”

The resolution can be viewed in its entirety below. (Click to enlarge)
