Declaration of Snow Emergency
Effective at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, December 16, 2020, until 12:00 pm on Thursday, December 17, 2020, a snow emergency is declared for the Borough of Wellsboro, Tioga County, Pennsylvania to allow for the safe removal of the forecast amounts of snow during the noted time period.
Vehicles are not permitted to be parked along the posted Snow Emergency Routes, where parking is posted as prohibited until snow removal. Vehicles parked in the posted areas are subject to ticket and/or towing. The Wellsboro Borough snow emergency routes are Central Avenue, between Pearl Street and Sturrock Street, and Main Street between Central Avenue and Lincoln Street.
This proclamation shall take effect on this day, December 16, 2020 at 2:00 pm. If this storm does not materialize as predicted, the declaration will be lifted sooner than the time noted below.
