Decades-Long Tradition Continues at Colorful Canton Kindergarten Play

by Samantha Morgan - May 18, 2026

Canton Elementary’s Kindergarten class displayed their knowledge of every color of the rainbow through song, dance, and poetry at the Kindergarten Play held on Thursday, May 14th. The students, led by Brock Kitchen and accompanied on piano by Jen Wile, performed 8 songs, ending with a fun-filled dance to “Color Song” led and choreographed by Jen Wile.
“I was speaking to Robin Palmer the other day, and she asked her mother- who was a longtime kindergarten teacher- when the play started and she thought it was 1968 since how long the kindergarten play has been going; hopefully we’re able to continue it as well,” Brock Kitchen explained.
Thank you to everyone behind the scenes who helped these excited students put together an amazing show!
