In 2020, just one month before the COVID-19 pandemic began, these three, long-time veterans of the jam scene joined together in a high-powered organ trio format as Organ Fairchild in Buffalo, New York in pursuit of groovy tunes and juicy jams. They made a remarkable splash in a short amount of time.
Individually, each of the three had performed in projects and one-offs with Bob Weir, Rob Wasserman, Robbie Krieger, Nels Cline, Tony Rice, moe., Oteil Burbridge, Steve Kimock, Keller Williams, Strangefolk, Gibb Droll, Big Leg Emma, Juggling Suns and more.
Organ Fairchild’s single “Seepin'” debuted in February of 2021 and landed the group on the Jambands.com Radio Charts Top 30 List that same month
The band was voted #1 out of 64 original bands statewide in the New York State Music March Madness competition held in 2021.
The trio’s prize for being voted New York’s top emerging band statewide was to travel to Saratoga Springs in April of 2021 for a pro-shot live stream with moe.’s Vinnie Amico sitting in on drums and percussion.
Summertime club and festival performances culminated in a mainstage performance in September of 2021 at the Borderland Music and Art Festival alongside Jason Isbell, The Revivalists, Pigeons Playing Ping Pong, TAUK and more.
In the same week as the September festival, Organ Fairchild’s debut album “Brewed in Buffalo” was released worldwide on CD and all major digital outlets and landed the group a front page feature article in the Buffalo News and sparkling reviews from media outlets in the United States and the United Kingdom. Jeff Miers of the Buffalo News described the band as “Fiery, passionate and deeply musical.”
Organ Fairchild’s music is available on all platforms like Spotify and Apple Music.
Audience members are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and sit on the grassy area in front of the outdoor stage or on Central Avenue, which will be closed to traffic between Main Street and the Warehouse Theatre from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
