Community Comes Together to Fuel Canton Athletes
Churches and local businesses in Canton came together to provide a delicious meal for the football players, marching band members, and volleyball players. Members of St. Michael’s Roman Catholic Church provided and served the meal to fuel the hungry warriors between practices.
Cassi Blaney, President of the Warrior Booster Club, explained how these meals bring teammates together. “We have about 110 warriors between marching band, football, and volleyball. They’re all getting a meal; tonight‘s meal is provided by St. Michael’s Roman Catholic Church, but we have had several churches in the area and local businesses that they’re donating food and so we’re getting them in here, getting them a good solid meal to get them through, fuel them through their practices. Parents don’t have to worry about sending them food- We’ve got it covered.”
