by Joe Carreon - May 23, 2014

Summer is here, and with it comes many activities!

Wellsboro Johnston Airport is hosting their annual Fly-In Breakfast on Sunday, May 25th. This unique event is a great opportunity to enjoy delicious pancakes, admire beautiful airplanes, meet new people and soar in the Tioga County skies! Breakfast is served at 8:00am until 12:00pm.

Wellsboro Home Page will also be providing highlight coverage of the upcoming Susquehannock Trail Performance Rally! This unique racing event takes place every year and brings in drivers and spectators from all over the world. There’s plenty to do and see during this racing weekend! This year’s rally will be held on May 30 & 31. For more information, visit!

The Wellsboro High School Alumni Association will host the annual Alumni Banquet on Saturday, May 24, 2014, at 5 p.m. The Alumni Association was formed in 1867, and has been holding this annual event for 137 years! If your graduating year ends with a 4 or 9, you are invited to attend this year’s banquet! Hills Creek is offering license-free fishing this coming Monday! Pending staff availability, they have rods and tackle that anyone can borrow! You can contact the park in advance to request this equipment by calling their office at 570-724-4246. Happy Fishing!

Finally, Home Page would like to encourage you to attend the Memorial Day Procession that will begin at 10am at the Green in Wellsboro. The procession will depart from the Green at 10:30am and will end with a ceremony next to the main flagpole at the Wellsboro Cemetery.

Wellsboro Home Page thanks all of our servicemen and women for their courage and sacrifice for our country.
