Coaches Corner | with Bob Rockwell: Former Canton Varsity Baseball Coach

by Craig Route - July 14, 2022

Bob Rockwell has manned the helm of the Canton varsity baseball team since the Spring of 1988. Teaching technique, fundamentals, and a love for the game for over 30 years has helped him acquire 430 victories. Those helped him become one of the winningest coaches in the NTL.

Next season we will not see Bob in his usual position coaching along the third base line. Rockwell decided to step down when he retired from his teaching position with the Canton Area School District at the end of this school year. Instead he will be rooting as a fan, probably discussing the good old days with the others cheering on the team.

Rockwell sat down with Craig Route of Coaches Corner to discuss baseball, his decision to step down, and future plans. Watch the video to listen in on their conversation.
