C&N Bank – Investing in Our Community

WELLSBORO, PA – Citizens & Northern Bank recognized the importance of investing in local education with $150,000 in donations to area Educational Improvement and Scholarship Organizations.

Education is key to a strong and prosperous community. However, there are many roadblocks preventing children from receiving the level of education they deserve. Citizens & Northern Bank is committed to closing this gap by supporting local organizations that have made it their mission to make sure every child has access to the best education possible. By investing in our youth, we are putting our local economies on the path to sustained growth and giving our children more opportunities to thrive.

The following organizations were presented with checks to support their mission for providing strong educational programs:

First Community Foundation Partnership of Pennsylvania – $80,000 to be split amongst twelve school districts:

• Coudersport Area: $6,500
• Muncy Area: $2,500

• East Lycoming Area: $2,500
• Galeton Area: $2,500
• Port Allegany: $4,500
• Cameron County: $4,500
• Montoursville Area: $6,500
• Warrior Run Area: $6,500
• Montgomery Area: $6,500
• Keystone Elk Country Alliance – $2,500
• Potter County Education Council – $3,500
• Bradford County Regional Arts Council – $3,500
• Towanda Area School District Foundation – $5,000
• Tioga County Foundation – $18,000
• Diocese of Scranton Scholarship Foundation – $22,500
• General Council of Assemblies of God – $7,500
• Trinity Lutheran Church and School – $7,500
