C&N and MU Partner in National Community Bank Case Study Competition
WELLSBORO, PA – Citizens & Northern Bank and Mansfield University are teaming up to compete in a National Community Bank Case Study Competition that explores how technology is being used within C&N’s day-to-day operations.
Community banks are vital to our local economy, with a unique business model that bolsters economic growth and has proven to be resilient through financial crises. That resiliency has been tested over recent years with the fast-paced introduction of new technologies and alternative options for digital-savvy customers.
Through their study of Citizens & Northern, Mansfield University students will engage in an experiential learning opportunity that will allow them to network and gain valuable first-hand knowledge of the banking industry. C&N and MU will be competing against 47 teams nationwide.
The competition is open to undergraduate students in all fields of study with the student teams competing for an academic scholarship, a chance for to get their work published in an academic journal and an opportunity to attend the sixth annual CSBS-Federal Reserve Community Banking Research Conference, held in St. Louis, MO this October to present their findings. The top three scoring teams will be announced this spring. For more information on the 2018 Community Bank Case Study Competition, visit www.csbs.org/bankcasestudy.
Citizens & Northern Bank is honored to support Mansfield University students in this competition and to bring more awareness to the important role that community banks play in our area.
