Chocolate-Coated Care
In this feature, Wellsboro Home Page had the opportunity to visit Highland Chocolates. They are a non-profit entity of Partners in Progress, providing employment for developmental disabled residents of Tioga County. Currently they have 20 employees, who work one, two, or three days a week in six hours shifts. Their jobs include sorting pretzels for chocolate covered pretzels and their famous pretzel bark. They also make chocolate molds of many varieties, and a host of other sweet treats. Highland chocolates can also personalize products meeting your fund-raising needs.
Highland Chocolates will be hosting an open house on Friday, April 11, from 3:00 -7:00pm. While there, you will have an opportunity to make your own chocolate lollipop, or you can crack an egg to get up to 50% off your purchase. For more details, please visit their website at www.highlandchocolates.org.
Highland Chocolates is owned and operated by Partners In Progress, Inc. Partners In Progress is a non-profit 501(c)(3) located in Mansfield, Pennsylvania. You can learn more about them by visiting PartnersPIP.com.
