Home Page spoke with Lauren Morral about some upcoming chamber events here in Tioga County. May 1-2 will be the Wellsboro Wine & Art Tour. Get your weekend started on Friday night at 7:00 p.m. with Wine 101: Learn How to Taste Like a Pro – with professional sommelier Holly Howell at The Warehouse Gallery. You will receive a wine glass, tastings, and light hour d’oeuvres and dessert. On Saturday, the Wine & Art tour will consist of 10-12 downtown businesses that will each feature wine tasting from 1:00-6:00pm, paired with hors d’oeuvres and accompanied by a local artisan, author, or musician. Opening day for trout fishing will be Saturday April 18. Grab your rod and license, and head out to one of the spectacular fishing areas in Tioga County.

First Fridays are back! May 1st will mark the beginning of these exciting Friday nights in Wellsboro. Face painting, sidewalk chalk, music, and much more will line the Main Street. Retailers will be open later with special deals. Red Skillet will be open for the evening, with their season, and new menu options, officially beginning on Monday May 4.
