Career Day!

Presenters connect with students on vocations and training

by John Vogt - April 3, 2019

On Wednesday, March 27th Wellsboro High School and the Northern Tier Reginal Panning and Development Commission presented Career Day at Wellsboro High School. Presenters from all over the region were on hand to discuss potential careers with students. Home Page cameras were rolling to capture the moment as students considered professions from a myriad of possible choices.

One of the goals of Career Day is to help students connect their current education to future occupations. This year’s presentation at Wellsboro High School was a huge success; most of the presenters had interactive activities to engage the students and from what we could tell students appreciated the opportunity to meet with presenters.

A huge THANK YOU to Matthew Rendos, Wellsboro Area High School Guidance Counselor, Tanya Harmon, Wellsboro Area High School Guidance Counselor, and Pat Chappel, who is the Career Coach for Northern Tier Regional Planning and Development Commission for making this year’s event informative and productive for the students who attended.

Don’t miss this Career Day broadcast. Take a few moments to watch it now. Thanks for being part of our Home Page family of viewers. You are greatly appreciated.
