Canton Fourth Graders Explore Conservation at Outdoor Field Day
On Wednesday, May 13th, fourth graders at Canton Elementary School explored the outdoors at a conservation Field Day led by teachers, staff, FFA members, and the Bradford County Conservation District. Students got hands-on experience catching and identifying aquatic macro-invertebrates in the Towanda Creek, learning about the future of agriculture, farm animals and their digestive systems, and learning about energy production in the Mobile Energy Education Lab.
“The students are taking away teamwork skills because they’re working together down in the stream finding all of the interesting insects we have to offer,” Canton FFA Sentinel Kix Carr stated.
Thank you to everyone who helped to make 4th Grade Field Day a successful day of education.
