Today on Wellsboro Home Page, Borough Manager, Scot Boyce, introduces the new Borough of Wellsboro app. The app is already available for Android devices and will be downloadable from Apple App Store in the near future. The borough’s goal is that the app can aid in communication with the community about alerts and make other borough information readily available to the public. Alerts may include road closings, parking maps, and even water boil advisories – all at the touch of your fingertips. “There is no bill pay option as of now,” says Boyce. “But maybe further in the future.”

It’s also Clean-Up Week here in the borough, but there are a few items NTSWA will not pick up. Many construction & demolition materials/hazardous waste, and electronics cannot be left out for pickup. Electronics, however, can be dropped off at the Tiadaghton Area Transfer Station. You will need to deliver these to the transfer station yourself; the Borough WILL NOT pick these items up from the curbs during clean-up week.
