Blossburg Elementary hosts Family Fun Night
On March 13, the Blossburg Elementary School hosted a Dr. Seuss family fun night along with The Empty Bowls Project. Blossburg Elementary received a grant from the Pennsylvania Council of Art to fund this project. The Empty Bowls Project is an international fundraising program using art tp help raise money in support of those in need. Blossburg Home Page cameras were rolling at the event.
The school was decorated with different Dr. Seuss book themes. Each classroom was full of activities inspired by the kids’ favorite Dr. Seuss titles. The decorations and games were all created by the students of Blossburg Elementary.
Art teacher Katherine Wise spearheaded the Empty Bowl Project. Each bowl was handmade by one of her students. Attendees could pick a bowl and fill it with food. The money from their dinner goes towards the fight against hunger. Both events were attended by many families enjoying the evening together.
