Black Knights Outpace Trojans, 62-44

by Wyatt Wood - January 7, 2026

On Tuesday, January 6th, the Troy Trojans hosted the Towanda Black Knights. The Black Knights ruled the court, staying ahead at the end of every period, coming out on top 62–44.
Towanda got on the board first as Landen Clark finds Darrius Farrell on the run.
Troy also got on the board from the baseline as Josiah Pesesky sets Trey Teribury for two.
Next, Ben Shrawder kicks it to Bayley Poll for the three.
Trojan Pryor Teribury responds with a jumper.
Black Knight Markell Garner gets big in the paint and puts it back up to hold the lead in Towanda’s favor, 14–8.
The second quarter was full of threes, starting off the dimes, Lucas Vincent — wide open.
Towanda maintaining control, Garner in heavy traffic dishes the ball to the corner, Farrell nothing but net.
Troy responds as Trey Teribury lines up his own three.
Black Knight Graham Welles, wide open.
The Trojans refuse to give in with their own three as Evan Allen drives, kicks it out to Landon Cole for three. Towanda still on top at the half, 32–20.
Troy with a great team play as Trey Teribury sends it to Pryor, then to Pesesky for the layup.
Farrell brings down the rebound and takes his own three-pointer.
Later in the period, a deep three from Welles.
Landon Clark late in the third, easy buckets, keeping Troy in the game but still trailing 11, 40–31.
Troy put up two more threes, but it wasn’t enough to shake the Black Knight offense as Poll slams his own three, then to finish the night, Poll perfect placement to Clark for the finish. Final score, 62–44 Towanda.
Towanda will be back on the court hosting Wellsboro Thursday at 7:30, and the Trojans are on the road to Athens, also on Thursday at 7:30.
