Big seventh inning leads to 10-0 Lady Mounties win over Troy
EAST TROY – A six inning stalemate quickly ended after a 10 run seventh inning propelled the North Penn Liberty Lady Mounties to 10-0 win over Troy on Thursday, May 5.
The Lady Mounties secured the victory thanks to ten runs in the seventh inning. The Mounties offensive explosion was led by McKenna Lightner, Addie Smith, Alexia Kshir, Lightner, and Payton Chapel, all sending runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.
Tice pitched the Lady Mounties to victory. The pitcher lasted seven innings, allowing two hits and zero runs while striking out three and walking one.
Williams took the loss for Troy allowing ten runs on two hits over six and a third innings, striking out two.
Tice, Lightner, Chapel, and Smith each collected one hit to lead the Lady Mounties.
