Benefit To Be Held For Alex Cleveland, February 20th

Benefit To Be Held For Alex Cleveland, February 20th

by Tonya McNamara - February 18, 2022

Alex Cleveland, a 21-year-old North Penn Mansfield High School graduate was in a car accident in January, suffering a dislocated hip, fractured pelvis, and a severed spinal cord.

He has started his journey to recovery at the McGee Rehabilitation Center in Philadelphia, learning new ways towards physical independence.

His family and friends have joined together to help with his many medical expenses, making his home wheelchair accessible and obtaining a handicapped accessible vehicle.

A benefit is being held at the Blossburg Fire Hall at 324 Main Street, on February 20th from 11 am to 6 pm with spaghetti dinner with salad and bread for $8.00.
Many silent auction items from local businesses and friends including a gun raffle sponsored by ABATE of PA Grand Canyon at 5 pm. Alex’s Army t-shirts and hats and other logo items will be available for purchase. Music will be provided by the “Radio Thieves.”

Friends have been overwhelmed with donations and generosity of people that they don’t even know states a close friend of the family. We appreciate everyone’s support, and we ask that everyone puts in a word to whatever higher power you believe in to get Alex through this very emotional and challenging time.

A Go-fund-me account has been created to assist with the mountain of obstacles he has ahead of him at https//gofund.me/387d0087.

For more information contact Rachael Cleveland at 570-439-9659.
