Arcadia To Reopen Memorial Day Weekend
For over a year, Wellsboro has been patiently waiting for the Arcadia Theatre to reopen. The Arcadia opens this Friday, May 28th. Due to technical hurdles and movie availability, they will start with three out of the four theatres, starring: Cruella, A Quiet Place Part II, and Godzilla vs. Kong. The fourth theatre will be ready sometime in the middle of the summer.
Tickets are available both online and in person. Reservations are not mandatory for attending the theatre. The Arcadia follows CDC guidelines where those who are vaccinated do not need to wear a mask and those who have not been vaccinated need to wear a mask. There will be no capacity limitations after May 31st. However, the theatre will be at half capacity between May 28th and 30th. Buying tickets online is encouraged while capacity restrictions are still in place to ensure seat availability. The Arcadia will continue to do its best in protecting everyone’s health in every way that it can.
In December, the Arcadia Theatre will be celebrating its 100th anniversary. Stay tuned for exciting events to come to celebrate this remarkable occasion.
