A First Friday Holiday!

Don’t miss out on the special deals and activities for First Friday!

by John Vogt - December 5, 2014

It’s a Dickens of a First Friday here in Wellsboro, PA. Not only are people heading for Wellsboro to take advantage of the First Friday savings, but the 31st annual Dickens of a Christmas is also being celebrated this weekend.

Today on Home Page, Sarah Vickery talks with a number of Wellsboro retailers about the celebration and the savings tonight during First Friday.

Take advantage of the “Dickens of a deal” being offered at The Fifth Season! Spend $25.00 or more and get a beautiful scarf for only $15.00. That’s half off the regular price! There are also lots of secret Santa sales going on throughout the store.

Dunham’s Department Store is offering a “25% off famous brands” special. Quality stuffed animals are yours for just $5.00 when you spend $100.00 or more.

At Pop’s Culture it’s Open Game Night – which is always a blast! But tonight at Pops you can get involved in the fun of ornament making. There are ornaments designed for adults, little ones and everyone in between. It’s guaranteed fun tonight at Pop’s Culture.

Shabby Rue is offering a great special – spend $50.00 and you get 25% off your next item. If you spend $100.00 you get 40% off your next item. Now that’s a good deal!

Wild Asaph Outfitters is having a “Dickens of a sale” this First Friday! All winter coats are marked down 20%. In fact, there are a number of items that are discounted 20% throughout the store – but that’s just beginning. Don’t miss watching today’s feature for more!

Peggy’s Candies & Gifts had a number of their secret items covered up. We tried to take a peak but…well you won’t believe what happened. Don’t miss today’s broadcast to find out and don’t forget to stop into Peggy’s Candies & Gifts for a sweet experience.

Stained Glass Reflections will be celebrating with their “almost famous” chalk art – inside and free, of course. They will also have special music by Vernal Pool (Anne and Ciro and Bruce Smith). Plus, kids can make their own paint-on-glass ornament to keep or give as a gift. (There is a modest $5.00 charge to help cover the cost of materials.)

There’s lots of shoes and sneakers on sale right now at In My Shoes. If you need snow boots and rain boots, this is the place to shop! Take advantage of their last chance special while enjoying some fantastic snacks.

Garrisons has marked down item after item to help with your Christmas shopping this year. There are many new items too. Make sure to check out the brand new Ladies Department at Garrisons.

Have a great weekend and enjoy your time of shopping, saving and dining in Wellsboro, PA during this Dickens of a First Friday. Thank you for joining us today on Wellsboro Home Page.
