A Feast Fit for a Fair!
Fair week has countless aspects to look forward to! Some of the main draws, of course, are the animals, rides, concerts, and presentations. But, few attractions can trump the delicious fair food we get to enjoy during the week! Options from sweet to savory, along with yummy and refreshing drink options, are spread out throughout the fair grounds.
Homepage had the great pleasure of visiting a few of the vendors to check out what they’re serving up. Our stops included:
-Bella’s for a fresh-squeezed lemonade
-Snyder’s for some perfectly crisp, fresh-cut fries
-Bryan’s Meat Cutting shared a delicious beef brisket sandwich with BBQ sauce that was just right
-Rachel’s pretzel stand had a handmade, cinnamon/sugar pretzel that still has our mouths watering
-Flyin’ Pigs Subs served a generous ham sub with fresh veggies, and really impressed us when they explained they raise their own pigs
-New Covenant Academy is back and their peach shortcake game is as strong as ever
-Glenda and Scott’s Homemade Ice Cream scooped up two of their many flavors that cooled us down, and satisfied our sweet tooth
While these scrumptious menus are solid options, we only chipped the tip of the tasty, fair-food ice burg! There are two more days to do some taste testing at the Tioga County Fair. Don’t miss these good eats!
