“A Choral Collage” Coming to Canton
The Endless Mountain Choral Society’s upcoming concert, A Choral Collage, will present a variety of musical pieces that every audience member can enjoy. Conducted by the multitalented Robert Oldroyd, the performance will be held this Sunday, October 5th, at 4pm. The concert will take place at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Canton, creating a gorgeous atmosphere to experience the musical talents of the choir.
“For this concert, which is our choral anthems concert, some things you can expect are a lot of variety,” says Oldroyd. “We’re going to sing a little bit of Bach, we’re going to have quite a few choral anthems that might find their home in an old-time church service, we’re doing a little bit of sacred harp singing, which is quite exciting- that is one of our a cappella pieces. We’re doing some patriotic music, so we have a really lovely setting of America the beautiful and I think a pretty cool setting of Battle Hymn of the Republic; so we have quite a bit of variety in this concert.”
The concert is free to all attendees, but donations are welcomed.
Be sure to mark your calendar to ensure you do not miss the beautiful melodies that the Endless Mountain Choral Society has to offer!
