The 84th annual Pennsylvania State Laurel Festival Queen was crowned last weekend during the Queen Coronation ceremony held at the Wellsboro Area High School auditorium.

Masters of ceremonies Ken VanSant and Commissioner Marc Rice welcomed attendees and introduced this year’s 22 queen candidates, each representing communities from across Pennsylvania.

After all of the candidates were introduced, the Top 10 finalists were announced. Each finalist then answered an impromptu question on topics ranging from technology and world culture to mental health and more. Following the question-and-answer portion, judges convened to deliberate before selecting this year’s winners.

Miss Congeniality, as voted on by the other candidates, was awarded to Miss DuBois, Grace Reynolds.

Second runner-up honors went to Miss Mifflinburg, Laurel Ramsey, while first runner-up was Miss Millville, Ella Shultz.

Crowned as the 2026 Pennsylvania State Laurel Festival Queen was Miss Abington, Madeline Krassner.
